Mr. Jones Band

Mr. Jones has been one of the Ark-La-Tex's favorite variety bands for the past 10 years. Formerly known as the Clays, the trio has built a strong reputation for entertaining all kinds of audiences from rock to country with a sound much bigger than a trio. Founding member Clayton Jones leads the band on guitar and keyboards as well as harmonica. Clayton studied music at Kilgore College and has been playing professionally since 1987. Owen Berry has been the anchor of the band since 1998 on drums. The son of a band director, Owen was first chair snare drum throughout his school days. Jim Day is the newest addition to the band on bass joining in 2005. Jim was Mr. Jones super-sub for years while he played with local act Standing Flat among others.
